If you find yourself in Plaza de Mayo, you’ll find in the heart of it: Casa Rosada, one of the most impressive architectural masterpieces in Buenos Aires.
The presidential palace became famous in the entire world due to Maria Eva Duarte de Peron’s balcony, where she appeared to hold many of her speeches.
Built in the late 1800s, the building is the Government House and a must-see point of interest for any tourist or visitor to the Argentinean capital.
The fountain and the palm trees in the courtyard brought to my mind images from black and white classic movies, with haciendas and gauchos.
On the lower level of the Casa Rosada, you’ll find a small museum, which although limited in size, offers you an incredible amount of information regarding the country’s history and rulers.
The guards in colonial style uniforms are very friendly, and the ideal tour guides, offering tourists the required information.
